It’s hard to believe, but with August just a few weeks away, back-to-school season is upon us. As classroom assignments and school supplies lists roll in, it’s helpful to map out what you’ll be spending money on to get ready for the new school year. The good news is that even in the midst of the end of summer chaos, there’s still an opportunity to save. Tax free weekend is a period of time when sales tax is not applied to select categories of goods, including uniforms and school supplies, as well as other seasonal items like storm prep products. This is not only an opportunity to save, but to stock up on essentials that will be used throughout the year. Set your kids (and budget) up for success and mark your calendar for your state’s tax free weekend using the list below.
